Equipment Loan
Many people with a serious illness would like to remain in the familiar surroundings of their own home. However, this can sometimes be difficult without the right equipment.
The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House lends out equipment for short-term use. Our equipment loan service ranges from hospital beds and pressure relieving equipment to commodes, recliner chairs and wheelchairs. We can even provide simple things like 'two way' listening alarms so that you can reassure yourself that your loved one is well whilst you are working in another room.
Referrals for equipment are normally requested by a nurse or social worker. However we are happy to receive requests directly from patients and carers.
A number of other organisations can help by providing equipment free of charge for short-term loan including Norfolk County Council and the British Red Cross.
