Transport
Norfolk can be a difficult county to travel in when you are unwell due to the limited amount of public transport.
The Norfolk Hospice has a small transport team including dedicated volunteers who can provide transport to patients attending Day Therapy at the Hospice and can help patients to get to hospital appointments. We have a minibus and two small vans that are able to transport patients who are wheelchair users.
Referrals for transport are normally requested by a nurse or social worker. However we are happy to receive requests directly from patients and carers. We offer the transport service without charge. The service is funded by voluntary donations.
Various voluntary organisations provide transport to help people attend GP and hospital appointments including Norfolk County Council.
