My husband Ian and I feel very lucky that we can both use our skills at the Hospice. We started at the same time, helping to build and maintain the website. Now, I'm currently assembling and cataloguing documents and photographs dating back to the original foundation of North West Norfolk Home Hospice Support - I can't really call it archiving as professional archivists do a lot more, but you get the general idea!

Ian works with the Day Therapy patients, mostly those with neurological illnesses - he helps them to use computers and tablets to overcome problems and achieve their goals. Very satisfying for them and him!

Although we brought existing skills to our roles, technology changes fast - so we've been given the chance to extend our knowledge for a useful purpose.

And we've both met a lot of amazing people - staff, volunteers and patients - so we've certainly achieved our objective of anchoring ourselves in the local area and making a contribution to its life.
