About this event (from Downham Market Swing Orchestra)

"We are proud to be putting on this concert for various reason. Cy Payne was our founder and musical director until his passing last year, and his vast knowledge and dedication to music made so many people love music just as much as him. He was very well known in the music industry especially with his work with the BBC.

"We are also celebrating our 25th anniversary of being founded (wow that’s a long time) and during this concert we will have various singers returning to perform who have ventured onto bigger things over the years.

"This is also a re-brand as well, with our brand new musical director Richard Dawson taking the helm, we are coming back after these horrible 2 years with a massive bang. Our ethos has always been to raise money for local charities, and Anne (Cy’s wife) has chosen a very deserving charity The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House. We really do hope you enjoy our concert and help us raise much needed funds."
