Margaret (Maggie) joined the board in 2013 as a member of the Finance and Investment Committee. Maggie trained as a nurse, specialising firstly in child psychiatry, then mastectomy and stoma care, and later genetics. In 1982 she joined a molecular genetics group at the Institute of Cancer Research as a research nurse. Maggie joined the Centre for Family Research, Cambridge University in 1993, investigating the experiences of families taking part in genetic studies. From this she has had a number of papers published in specialist journals. Maggie has been a trustee of several medically connected charities and retired in 2008. She is married and now lives in Snettisham.
