Lyndsay Carter, Chief Executive Officer at The Norfolk Hospice, has returned to her nursing roots and will be working in the community with our Hospice at Home team for a period of six weeks.

After a difficult year where COVID 19 emergency planning had to take precedent, the Hospice is now in a position to review and optimise this important community service.

Lyndsay will be visiting patients as part of the team and hearing from them and their families about their experiences of care. She will also ensure that the service is working as closely as possible with other community colleagues and services.

Hospice at Home is delivered in partnership by the Hospice and Norfolk Community Health and Care and supports patients and their families at end of life when their wish is to remain at home.

The service operates between the hours of 8am and 6pm and is currently complemented overnight by our Rapid Response Team who can be called on to provide urgent care and advice between the hours of 10pm through to 6am.

Lyndsay Carter said:

“I am looking forward to working with the Hospice at Home Team whose emphasis is about providing the best care that they can to families experiencing end of life care.”
