On Thursday 15th June our café, located near reception, started serving delicious food to visitors, patients, volunteers and staff.

The café, which was refurbished in 2015 thanks to a grant from Network Rail, had up until recently been used as a place to grab a coffee or cup of tea, with food only being served on special occasions like the Spring Fair.

Thanks to a partnership between the Hospice and Edwards & Blake, a catering company based in Swaffham, the café is now serving hot and cold meals as well as snacks and drinks. Edwards & Blake will also prepare all of the meals for the patients in The Dr Hugh Ford Inpatient Unit.

Each day there is a chef's special and a vegetarian option as a well as a delicious dessert. Diners can also opt for a lighter meal with jacket potatoes, salads, toasties and baguettes available. Bacon rolls, croissants and toast are served for breakfast.

Meals are reasonably priced with main meals costing £4 and snacks from 80p with all profits made going to the Hospice.

The café is open to the public from 8.30am - 4pm weekdays.
