The Norfolk Hospice is opening its newest store, Your Local Hospice Shop, based at Unit 6, Cromwell Road Retail Park, Wisbech on Friday 27th October 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

This splendid new store is over 4,000 square metres and will sell a wealth of donated items including: furniture from house clearances; bric-a-brac; electrical goods; books; CDs and DVDs as well as high-quality clothing for all the family.  The store will also be selling new items such as Christmas cards and calendars ready for the seasonal rush.

The impressive size of the premises means that the store can showcase a wide range of donated furniture from sofas, and other soft furnishings, to dining suites through to complete bedroom sets. A reasonably priced delivery service for purchased furniture is also offered.

Your Local Hospice Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Lynn Lockheart, Director of Retail and Operations at The Norfolk Hospice said

The Hospice’s nine shops generated over £1million in the last financial year. Without them, the Hospice would really struggle financially to raise the £2million we need to provide all of our services as only 35% of our income comes from the NHS. This new shop is in a more prominent location and is much larger than our previous shop in Union Street.

It is a really great location with lots of big name brands located close by including Tesco, Sports Direct and Iceland and has loads of free parking right outside the store.

Lynn continues,

The staff and volunteers from the old shop have moved across to build on their past successes and to launch this exciting new venture.

The Hospice, which is based in Hillington, just outside of King’s Lynn depends upon the generosity of donors and volunteers alike. The new store is currently seeking additional volunteers to help with a variety of tasks. People interested in volunteering should contact Davina Clarke at the Hospice on 01485 601 700.

Your Local Hospice Shop, Wisbech will open its doors at 10:00 a.m. on Friday 27th October 2017.
