The Day Therapy team within The Norfolk Hospice are pleased to announce the start of a 6-week group predominantly aimed at men. The aim is to give attendees the opportunity to re-establish lost hobbies, gain new ones and to do something practical, productive, and creative whilst giving them a sense of meaning and purpose.

some broken furniture, a selection of wood working tools and craft kitsA range of activities is planned to suit a variety of abilities. This will include upcycling and repurposing small furniture, children’s table and chairs, small benches etc. They will also be using pre-cut timbers, produced by the King’s Lynn Men’s Shed, to make bird boxes. Attendees will be able to use wood crafting kits and learn marquetry in the sessions.

This is a pilot group being trialled in preparation for the launch of a range of therapies in a new large garden building which has recently received planning permission for the Hospice site in Hillington.
