Volunteer Volunteer opportunities Bereavement Support Volunteer The Hospice is expanding the service offered to bereaved people - so we're looking for more volunteers to work alongside our current team. You'd be offering face to face support to bereaved individuals or to patients and their families near the end of life. Good listening and communication skills are essential. Interested? Call 01485 601700 or Apply Online We aim to help people adjust to bereavement, giving them an opportunity to have someone by their side to work through the pain of grief. You might be spending time with someone alone or helping them take part in a bereavement support group. Or it may be a chat over the phone, going with them to a memorial event or sending a condolence card. Full training and support will be given. This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
