The Butterfly Meadow is a collaborative project between The Sandringham Estate, The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House and local craftsman Nigel Barnett, an installation of 2,500 butterflies are on display in the gardens at Sandringham to form a Butterfly Meadow open to visitors from 16th July to 1st September.

Planned for this year to coincide with the The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Butterfly Meadow reflects the poppy installation at the Tower of London and is a beautiful space to stop, reflect and take a moment to remember loved ones and those close to us. Each butterfly is painted blue to mirror a species of butterfly often found in Norfolk - the silver-studded blue butterfly and measures approximately six inches wide and is affixed to a three-foot high steel pole to allow for easy planting.
