What's happening Open Up Hospice Care Hospice care is so much more than a building where you go to die. Most hospice care happens at home and in the community. And when we care for someone at the end of their life we’ve only got one chance to get it right. It’s vital that we’re there to offer expert and compassionate support to every family in need. But for many people in the UK today hospice care isn’t an option. People are dying in places they don’t want or need to be, longing for the warmth of their own beds. And many families are left traumatised, with little or no support at the time they need it the most. Hospice care aims to provide tailored support to those with a terminal or life-limiting condition, no matter who they are or what they’re going through. We listen, understand and treat people with the dignity and respect they deserve. It’s astonishing that on average more than 325 people a day, who would benefit from hospice care, are not able to get the compassionate and expert support they need. And as the strain on our NHS increases and our population ages, this number is set to increase further. We believe everybody has the right to hospice care. We are asking you to support us by donating to the hospice. We will use your donations to grow all of the services we provide to support patients and carers. What other things can you do to help?
