We need volunteers all year round to join our upbeat and friendly Fundraising and Events team.

When you volunteer on a one-off basis for an event you don't usually need to fill in a full application form - but if you'd like to be part of our regular team of volunteers you can Apply Online

There are lots of days and other ways you can help as a Fundraising event volunteer See Event Dates Here

Interested in these events? Call 01485 601701 or email [email protected]

Some of the things you could be doing at events:

  • Administration and registration
  • Helping set up equipment
  • Putting up/taking down mini marquees
  • Car park and road marshalling
  • Serving refreshments
  • Running stalls, like a Tombola stall, selling raffle tickets or handing out leaflets

More fundraising roles......

Distributing posters

We need enthusiastic and friendly volunteers who'll encourage people to display posters that advertise our fundraising events. You'll distribute posters locally, getting permission to display them in appropriate premises. By keeping in regular contact with the fundraising team, you'll know about upcoming events and let them know where you've left posters.

Call us on 01485 601701 if you can spare a few hours to do this.

Bucket collections

We regularly collect at local supermarkets and in town centres - usually between 9am and 5pm, but you'd only need to stay an hour or two. And you don't usually need to fill in a full volunteer application form to do this.

Call 01485 601701 to find out what dates, times and locations are available.

Collection box coordinator

Every year collection boxes bring in thousands of pounds for us. If you like getting out and about, meeting people and building relationships, this is the role for you!

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to distribute static collection boxes to shops and businesses in your own local area, making sure the boxes are replaced when full and returning full boxes for banking.

You'll like this if you're a friendly, outgoing person who's happy to talk to people about the Hospice, but with no need for a hard sell.

We particularly need volunteers to cover Fakenham, Dereham, Wells-next-the-sea, Holt and King's Lynn. Call 01485 601701 if you can help.

Whichever fundraising role you choose, you'll get some training so that you have a good overview knowledge of the Hospice - and you'll be given anything else that's needed for the particular role you're doing.

If you think you'd like to help fundraise read Celia's story - she's one of our volunteers.

And if you're interested in organising your own events our Organise an event page has full details of how we can help you.
