Donate items to our shops

Our shops are closed due to lockdown retail restrictions. When we reopen we strongly advise you to call the shop ahead of time and ask if they can accept your donation to avoid disappointment. Please take donated items to our St Nicholas Retail Park and Wisbech stores if you can, as our smaller shops have limited storage space. If you are registered for Gift Aid please write your number and stick it to the bags/boxes if possible. 

Books, CDs, DVDs, Vinyl, Videos

We sell a wide range of books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl and videos.

Please note that we are unable to sell home recorded video or audio tapes and inappropriate literature, video or other material. We no longer accept old, yellowing or dirty books.

Please note that we do not sell items made from ivory.

Clothing and accessories

We sell pre-loved clothing, footwear, bags, and fashion accessories in all of our nine shops.

Electrical items

We sell a wide range of second hand household electrical items including kettles, toasters, kitchen appliances and lamps. We also sell white goods including fridges, electric ovens, and home entertainment items such as TVs, games consoles, and DVD players.

Furniture

We sell a wide range of furniture in several of our shops. We can collect large items of furniture free of charge and we also provide a house clearance service.

Please note that we are unable to accept upholstered furniture which does not have a sewn on fire label.

Homemade items

Unfortunately our shops are unable to sell homemade items.

Our shops are unable to sell homemade items such as jams, chutneys, knitted goods, quilts and cakes, however our fundraising team occasionally require these items for events. Please contact the fundraising office on 01485 601701 before making these items.

Recycling

We recycle donated items which cannot be sold wherever possible. We also recycle foreign coins and stamps.

  • Prams, pushchairs and buggies

  • Cots, carrycots, and playpens
  • Toys without a CE mark
  • Home recorded DVDs, video and audio
  • Home recorded computer games and software on recordable Cds and DVDs

  • Weapons including swords, sword stocks, crossbows, guns and ammunition (unless obviously toys)

  • Perishable goods - but we can accept unopened food and drinks suitable for tombolas and raffles with long shelf lives, for example boxes of chocolates, sweets, biscuits, and bottles of wine

Unwanted gifts can be sold in our charity shops or used by the fundraising team as raffle prizes.
