We are so pleased that Tea for Tapping was such a wonderful success! The exciting new initiative during Afternoon Tea Week took place from 7th to 13th August 2023. The unique event invited individuals, communities, and tea lovers from all walks of life to come together and make a significant difference in the lives of hospice patients.

As part of the initiative The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House held King's Lynn's Biggest Tea Party on Thursday, 10th August 2023, from 2pm until 4pm. This prestigious gathering was hosted by The Mayor of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, Cllr Margaret Wilkinson and turned out to be a huge success.

Held in the historic Stone Hall and Assembly Rooms of the King’s Lynn Town Hall, the centrepiece of the event was an exquisite Afternoon Tea - perhaps the biggest ever held in the town - offering two enticing options. Guests indulged in a delightful Afternoon Tea serenaded by live music from local artists.

All proceeds from King's Lynn's Biggest Tea Party directly benefited The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House and has contributed to our ongoing mission to provide free care, comfort and compassion to people in the local community who are living with a life limiting illness, whilst also providing support for their families and friends.

The event would not have been possible without the support of volunteers, staff and everyone who attended. The Hospice would also like to thank local businesses The Bank House and Tea & The Gang, whose generosity helped bring the afternoon to life. The Norfolk Hospice hope to make Tea For Tapping an annual event and have plans to build on the successes of this year’s Tea for Tapping to make next year even bigger and better.
