The hospice makes a lot of money from the sale of donated items. But we must sure electrical appliances are safe to use and attractive to buyers, so if you've the right qualification and have some time to spare this will help us enormously. You'll need to be able to spend a couple of hours a week doing this, on a day or days to suit you.

The store has its own PAT testing equipment so you don’t need to bring your own.

What you'll be doing

  • checking appliances are working correctly and meet PAT safe standards
  • accurately recording and labelling tested appliances
  • cleaning and presenting appliances to a high standard, so they're attractive to buyers

Our store in King's Lynn has help from a volunteer PAT tester - read Brian's story to see if this role would suit you too.
